Whether you're just starting out or honing your craft, this class focuses on the unique skills required to excel in front of the lens.
From day one, students will work with real scripts, developing their ability to convey authentic emotions and nuanced performances under the close guidance of an experienced instructor. With a strong emphasis on the subtleties of film acting, you'll learn to adapt your performance for the intimacy of the camera, master techniques for continuity, and find your light to enhance every shot.
Key Features:
On-Camera Practice: Each session includes filming scenes to provide immediate feedback on technique and performance.
Script Work: Students will be paired in small groups or scenes, learning how to bring characters to life and connect with scene partners.
Character Development: Explore how to craft compelling, believable characters for any genre.
Understanding Film Production: Gain insight into working with directors, cinematographers, and the technical aspects of being on set.
Genre Flexibility: Practice adapting performances to suit various film genres, from drama to comedy to action.
